Who are we?
Christ Church West Wimbledon is a Church of England congregation, a Christian church, in South-West London, in the Diocese of Southwark.
We are a blend of the traditional and the contemporary, we are an open, inclusive church serving the people of West Wimbledon. In our worship and in our social life we seek to express and share the love of God which is for everyone. We welcome all, regardless of age, ethnicity, sexuality or church background. Exploring together, we journey towards that fullness of life offered to us through Jesus Christ’s self-sacrificing love. A mixture of those who are strong in their faith with others who are filled with questions and doubt, we encourage a willingness to explore our faith and be ready to be surprised by God. Knowing we are loved, we are ready to share our faith with others helping to build peace and justice in the world.
We hope that you find these pages useful and interesting and look forward to seeing you at Christ Church. If you would like to be in touch with us then we would be very pleased to hear from you. Follow the appropriate links to send us an email or to call us.

Collect for Sunday Next before Lent
“Holy god, you know the disorder of our sinful
lives: set straight our crooked hearts, and bend our wills to love your goodness
and your glory in Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Post Communion Next Sunday before Lent
“Holy God, we see your glory in the face of
Jesus Christ: may we who are partakers at his table reflect his life in word and
deed, that all the world may know his power to change and save. This we ask through
Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Green Prayer for Next Sunday before Lent
“Almighty God, who alone canst order the
unruly wills and affections of sinful men, grant unto thy people that they may love
the thing which thou commandest, and desire that which thou dost promise, that so,
amid the sundry and manifold changes of this world, our hearts may surely there be
fixed, where true joys are to be found, through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The Book
of Common Prayer
