Accompanied Prayer Group
The ‘ACCOMPANIED
PRAYER GROUP’, was formed in May 2001, at the
request of those members of Christ Church who
participated in ‘The Week of Accompanied Prayer’ that
took place earlier that year. It continues to meet on
the first Tuesday of every month in the Truman Room. The
group comprises twelve members, accompanied by Val
Hancock, who meet to discuss their personal experiences
of having prayed over a particular text, and how it
relates to their life experience. Since it began the
fellowship of the group has increased, as has its
number.
The group is
growing from strength to strength, and continues to be a
very valuable experience for all concerned. I hope that
it will continue in the strength of the Holy Spirit for
some considerable time.
