Children & Young People

Children & Young People are the life blood and the future of any church.

Children and young people are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of life at Christ Church. Young people are responsible for the running of our Traidcraft stall after the 10.00 am service each week. We have a group of junior servers who help at the 10.00 am service. We welcome children into our choir which sings twice a month at the 10.00 am service. Children meet to practise at 6.30 pm on Friday evenings for half an hour. Children are welcome to receive Holy Communion at Christ Church, and groups for children aged 6+ are run each year to prepare them for this. Young people join confirmation discussion groups once they are 13+.

CRÈCHE

A crèche, held in the Truman Room, is available before and during the 10:00am Holy Communion service, for pre-school children.

BRUNO BEAR CLUB

Bruno Bear is held between 9:30-11:30am, in Christ Church Hall on Thursday mornings for toddlers and their carers. To find out more click here.

JUNIOR CHURCH

The Junior Church meets during the 10:00am Holy Communion on Sunday mornings. After a welcoming word they go over to the church hall for their activities until they join us again to share communion. For further details contact the Vicar.

TRAIDCRAFT

Young people runs a Traidcraft stall after the Sunday morning 10:00am service. Goods can be purchased or ordered. To find out more, follow this link-

GUIDES AND BROWNIES

12th Wimbledon Brownies and 12th Wimbledon Guides. Guides & Brownies meet in Christ Church Hall. To find out more, follow this link.

Bruno Bear Club

Bruno Bear is held between 9:30-11:30am, in Christ Church Hall on Thursday mornings for toddlers and their carers.

If you are under 5 and would like to have fun on Thursday mornings come along and join us between 9:30 and 11:30 am - bring your parent or carer and give them a chance for a coffee and a chat whilst you play.

Fairtrade has been running since the early 1990s. One of the main organisations supplying fair trade goods is Traidcraft, and every Sunday at Christ Church members of Junior Church run a Traidcraft stall in church. Check with us what we have in stock - we can always order items in for you.
